Sarurun Kamui

Design for Sarurun Kamui, the marsh god, as a wolf. The markings should be a little more greenish, but the only color I had was a highlighter. I don't have my tablet to re-draw with proper coloring atm either, but such a drawing should appear at some point, probably after I finish up other commissions. I drew this stuff today in Biology class, when once again I finished my work early and had nothing better to do.

commissioned me for a painting with us as wolves, so I had to design a wolf for myself. The markings were a bit tricky to design, as I wanted them to look fluid but cohesive. Though I initially used the name Sarurun Kamui, the Ainu marsh god, because it sounded cool, I started to sort of connect with it because I do love marshes (and cranes). Plus marshes have rice. I love rice. I could eat it all day. But anyway, that's why this is the marsh god. Something kind of unusual, which is good. This one's only real powers are shapeshifting and walking on water, and whatever it needs to protect the marshes, I guess. The wolf is only its guardian form, since wolves and marshes don't exactly go together, but birds and small fish aren't exactly intimidating.
